WindPaw walked the cool ground, a breeze had pulled through and her heart was beating fast. Then she heard the call, "ANYONEHERE?" everyone had gone hunting or doing something else, the meddie cat away picking herbs. She stepped over the newly grown flowers and there in the clearing she saw- "Mother! What happene4d to Auntie Blueshadow?" she meowed frantically. "There was an accident. I need you to go get me the meddie cat and get back here immediatly." she said through gritted teeth as she lifted BlueShadow again. WindPaw nodded hastily and took off into the woods. WhiteWind pulled BlueShadow tothe meddie den where she droppe her into one of the nests and pushed the eagle with her nose towards the she-cat. "You deserve that, now while we wait ya gonna tell me what happened?" she asked kindly as she snuggled tight on her haunches. "Ya need anything before ya start your loong daring story?" she meowed in a teasing sort of voice.

"You wouldn't be laughing if you were where I was," she meowed quietly, hoping her friend didn't hear it right afterwards. She didn't want to be mean, but she made it sound like she'd done something great. Though really, she knew she hadn't, and she wondered why Whitewind thought she'd done the best thing by going after the eagle. She'd caught it yes, and she was proud of that, very proud even. But she'd injured herself terribly in doing so, and she knew she'd never forgive herself. She was too injured to do anything now, except sit here and talk. She'd do that, since she'd always liked talking, but she would feel like she couldn't repay her clan for all they'd do for her. She gave the bird she'd caught one long glance full of pure hatred. Some other cats should eat the bird, since it'd be the only thing she'd done good about her horrible falling. Not moving her eyes, which were filled with complete hatred, rare for the normally nice she-cat, she meowed, "I don't want to eat that disgusting bird. It's ruioned me, and I don't even ant to know what it'd taste like." She knew it'd taste good to any other cat, but the thought of eating the bird nearly made her gag. It wouldn't be disgusting, but every bit she took would remind her of her fall, and it's consequences. It's consequences on how she'd not do anything for her clan in a while, of how she'd have to be fed without feeding anyone else. Of not being able to do absolutely anything on her own! No more hunts until I'm better, she thought to herself, suddenly realizing it. Taking great self-control, she turned to look at Whitewind. "I'm sorry for saying that, and it was kind of you to offer. I just think they clan needs it more then I do." Suddenly she remembered her rabbit. "Mouse-dung! I forgot about the rabbit I had buried earlier!" she spat. "All well, you could get it for me later right?" She didn't give her friend time to answer. "As fr what happened.." She trailed off, not wanting to remember everything that had happened over a stupid bird. She shook her head slightly, clearing the mist that clouded her brain a little. "Alright, so I was hunting. Then I started wanting someone to come and hunt with me, and I had thought of you. So, I decided to go on a border check, and keep an eye out for you. When you jumped out at me, I was truly glad, even though I didn't show much of it." She stopped for a moment, letting that sink into the she-cat in front of her. "Then, we started hunting, as you know. We spotted the eagle," as she said this she gave a disgusted glance at the eagle, "and I went after it. I don't know when you started to follow me, or anything after I left, but I attacked the bird, obvious. It started dragging me into the air, and I had to climb up onto it's back. I started clawing at it, simply wanting it to go down slowly, with no quick rush." She stopped once more, thinking about how she should put the next part. "So, in the midst of my clawing, I found it's spinal cord. Like I'd do with any other prey, so instinctivly, I bit it's spinal cord, breaking it. And so, since it being dead meant it couln't flap it's wings anymore, we fell. But you saw that, right? Then, of this part I know you know, but I will say it anyways, and then you carried me back to camp. Here we are now. Anymore questions?" She looked down at her paws as she said this, ashamed that she'd been injured so much over a bird. Though she knew that truly that wasn't why she felt so bad. She felt so bad because she'd be able to do nothing for the next, she didn't know how long. She didn't like relying on others to much. She ave her friend a soft gaze, changing abrubtly from her little a bit snappish mood to a sweeter mood.

WhiteWind nodded through-out the whole story. "Wow, you should really stick to rabbits." she said, then her face softened and she gave a laugh. "Kidding kidding! It was very heroic." she laughed again. Her voice was filled with sarcasm and she knew her friend would be mad, it was just the way she was though. "BlueShadow you act as if this will flater in your dream of becoming deputy, well if it does then they are not looking in the right spots. Your paw may not be broken, i looks as if but what if it's just a slight sprang?" she asked trying to make her friend feel better. To tell the truth she didn't know how much more the paw could go through without being run over by a car. It was gnared leeding and squashed, not to mention going three different directions when it was only supposed to go two. She gave a jurk and looked kindly at her friend. "Yeah, I'll go get your rabbit later." she hummed softly as she tapped her tai as she waited for her dear daughter WindPaw to return. "I can't help but wonder where my kitts are?" she asked in a laughing matter sorta voice. Se was trying to change the subject to keep her friend from worrying. "So, once they send you back on your way think of anything to celebrate your well-being yet?" she purred. She was just kidding but yet her mind turned to a corner that actally asked her, "What should we do when BlueShadow is better?" I mean she wqas going to be out soon, and WhiteWind thought everybdy that had been in the meddie cat's den and come out alive needed to celebrate their well being.

"Celebrate?" she hissed. What was there to celebrate? Why even talk about celebrating when she was laying her, doing nothing? She wouldn't be able to do anything in a while, she could tell that.
Her paw was going in three directions! And yet Whitewind said it would be fine, just a slight sprain? Not! How could her friend seriously start talking about celebrating? She wouln't be able to walk because of her foot without a limp! She glared at her. She didn't care if she was being rude right now. Whitewind's sarcastic ersonality was getting annoying. Whether she was trying to be friendly or not, she just wasn't helping. She didn't want to talk about celebrating, or when she'd get out of there. She knew it'd be a long time, what more is there to it?
If there was more to it, she didn't want to know what it was. She seriously wanted to growl at Whitewind to just get out, but she wouldn't do that to her friend. While she was sick and tired of her sarcasm, she knew she wasn't trying to be unhelpful, even if she was. She simply was trying to be nice about it. She only wished it would work. Her glare at her friend changed from anger to sorrow. Great, just great. Now she was feeeling sorry for herself. How worse could this get on her?
She simply wanted to hunt, and now she was in pain and damaged to the bone. Or, to some of them. She wished she just wouldn't have let go of the bird. Then her fall would have beeen much much better, instead of so horribly wrong. If she could just simply go back to that point and chnge it so she had held on, she wouldn't be here! But you can't, so you miht as well get over it. Now, there isn't anything you can do but stop being so frustrated about being here! You're in a clan, other cats are suppose to help you at one point or another! Accept it, and move on, don't stay angry about it!she heard the little voice in the back of her head saying.
She sighed, because she knew it was right but hated what it meant. It meant relying on other cats for a certain period of time, so she could get better. She'd helped take care of cats in the past when they were injured. But that was different, she told herself. At those times I wasn't the one that was unjured. I had been the one helpng, not asking for help. She didn't know what to think now.
Now she'd be unable to do anything, and would depend on other cats. That was the bad side. The good side was that her clanmates might actually repay her for doing all those things for them, and might actually come to appreciate her after this. Since they'd be the ones helping, it might make them see how much trouble you go through when helping them, she told herself. She smiled at that, since she'd wanted nothing more then for the clan to appreciate her and how much she helps them. She didn't like doing everything for them, but she loved helping them out. That was the really bad part. She wouldn't be able to help anybody.
She sighed, and layed her head on her paws. She started to close her eyes. She was tired. The struggle with the bird had worn her out, and what beter then to take nap. Hopefull she wouldn't roll over in her sleep. She normally didn't, so she'd be alright. That wasn'y the trouble. The trouble was getting sleep to come to her, instead of her having to chase after it. Ugh, she'd be so wound up with energy by the time she left this place! She realized how Whitewind felt, finally, being cooped up in the nursery. That'd be horrible! She decided then and there that she wouldn't have kits. There weren't aany good males in the clan anyways, and she could still be friends with them, and nothing more. She decided to tell this to no one, since she'd want it to be a secret. If any of the toms decided to hit on her, she'd show them that she waasn't going to have kits. They'd be on her hate list for only a little while though, since no one would know.

WhiteWind could tell her friend was exhaustedand a little angry at her, she'dknew it wold wear off but she still didn't like the fact that her friend was slightly angry or annoyed by her. She stood back up and in a very interested voice asked, "Do you need anything, or would you like me to leave?" she wanted to ask this so her friend had a choice and didn't feel bad about falling asleep on her friend. She knew this pained her friend to be stuck relying on others and cooped up just like she had been, but she knew that it was almost better for her friend to take a long break and have other people take care of her for a while.

Her eyes opened slowly, and she turned her head as best she could to look at her friend. "You may go. I don't want to fall asleep on you or anything," she meowed. A yawn quickly followed this, proving how tired the she-cat was. She set her head back on her paws, and her eyelids once more slid down over her eyes. She slowly sunk into a whirwind of dreams that were impossible for her to remember, or even keeep track of, in the waking world.
